You’ll spend two nights, giving you plenty of time to explore this laid-back town and its historic sites, conch-style architecture, picturesque beaches, and lively nightlife. Visit Everglades National Park and take a thrilling airboat ride through the vast swamplands and wilderness where you will likely spot alligators basking in the sun. Overnight in Naples, before heading up the Gulf Coast for a two-night stay in St. Pete Beach, consistently rated among the top beaches in the U.S. Enjoy the soft white sand and stunning turquoise water just steps away from your ocean-front hotel. On the way to Orlando visit Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park to see native Florida wildlife, including the three manatees that call it home. This Cosmos travel package does not include meals. Most of our hotels offer anything from coffee to a full breakfast, so you can start the day the way you like best. At most lunch stops, your Tour Director will have information on local restaurants. Dinnertime is your chance to sample local cuisine. Sometimes your Tour Director will offer an optional dinner outing.

Day 1 MIAMI

Welcome to Miami! Your Tour Director is on hand late this afternoon to answer any questions.

Day 2 MIAMI–EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK–KEY WEST

Take an orientation tour of Miami highlighting famous Ocean Drive, South Beach, and Little Havana. Then head south to Royal Palm Visitor Center in Everglades National Park, a 1.5 million-acre wetlands preserve on the southern tip of Florida. Take a walk on Anhinga Trail with its abundance of wildlife, including alligators, turtles, and anhingas. Continue south to the Overseas Highway, crossing 42 bridges through the Florida Keys to arrive at the southernmost town in the U.S., Key West. Perhaps visit Mallory Square this evening to enjoy the spectacular sunset.

Day 3 KEY WEST

Board the Key West Trolley and sit back while expert guides turn back the pages of history of this iconic, laid-back town that charmed the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Harry Truman, and Jimmy Buffet. Highlights include historic Old Town, bustling Duval Street, and the picturesque waterfront. At any time during the tour, you can hop off/hop on for sightseeing, shopping, or dining at your leisure.

Day 4 KEY WEST–EVERGLADES SAFARI PARK–NAPLES

Head back to the mainland and return to the subtropical wilderness of Everglades National Park. Board your airboat for a thrilling sightseeing ride through the swamplands where you will likely see alligators basking on the banks in the sun. Then overnight in Naples.

Day 5 NAPLES–ST. PETE BEACH

Head north up the picturesque western Florida coastline to St. Pete Beach. Take an orientation tour and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 6 ST. PETE BEACH

Enjoy a full day to relax on the sugar-white-sand beach just steps from your hotel or choose to lounge by the pool. Or do both with ample leisure time!

Day 7 ST. PETE BEACH–HOMOSASSA SPRINGS–ORLANDO

Depart for a visit to Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park to view and learn about native Florida wildlife, including the endangered Florida panther, red wolf, flamingo, and three manatees rescued from the wild who call the park home. Then head to Orlando for a two-night stay.

Day 8 ORLANDO

The day is free to independently explore. Your Tour Director can give suggestions. Perhaps enjoy one of the many Orlando attractions such as Disney World Theme Park, Universal Studios, or SeaWorld, or just relax by the pool.

Day 9 ORLANDO–CAPE CANAVERAL–DELRAY BEACH


Depart Orlando for Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, hub of America’s space operations. Enjoy a NASA tour for insight into the achievements of America’s space program. Afterward, head south for an overnight in Delray Beach where you can stroll along the shops or dine at one of its award-winning outdoor cafes.

Day 10 DELRAY BEACH-MIAMI

Depart for Miami where your vacation ends this morning. Please schedule flights after 1 p.m. You may choose to extend your vacation with extra nights in Miami to explore further.
